Call for papers
A meeting place for researchers since 2011, this conference aims to contribute to the reflection on the theme of risk by adopting a cross-disciplinary approach. The plurality of perspectives enriches debates and exchanges on the identification of risks, their measurement, and their regulation. The expected contributions, theoretical and/or empirical, should address the themes listed below (non-exhaustive list): Health risk – long-term care risk; access to healthcare; health insurance systems; regulation of the healthcare market; retirement, savings, and life-cycle issues. Risk and insurance – risk attitudes; pricing; regulation; reserving; prevention; insurability; reinsurance; predictive models; big data and artificial intelligence. Financial risk – financial crises and systemic risk; international financial regulation; modelling and measurement of risk; market volatility; behavioral finance. Banking risk – banking efficiency and prudential supervision; banking supply, capital structure, and risks; banking governance and incentive mechanisms; contagion and risk regulation; intermediation and information asymmetries. Risk and innovation – technological risk; R&D strategies; innovation and intellectual property rights; eco-innovation and sustainable development. Macroeconomic risk – recession; inflation; currency crises; fiscal instability; geopolitical risk. Social risk – unemployment; poverty; inequalities; exclusion; household vulnerability. Environmental risk – natural disasters; climate change; energy transition; physical risk. Technological and digital risk – rapid obsolescence; cybersecurity; dependency on digital platforms. Demographic risk – population ageing; declining fertility; imbalance in social systems.
